Paint what you love, the way you love to express it–says Heidi Willis, watercolorist from Australia

I believe humans have a natural tendency to enjoy colors–whatever the science has to say about white light and cones in our retinas, etc., the beauty of colors can’t be limited to a scientific phenomenon. There is something in our soul or being that binds us to these colors. If you can play with them, if you can use them to give a shape to your imagination or the world around you, there’s hardly anything more beautiful than that.

Heidi Willis, a natural history watercolor artist from Australia, does the same thing capturing the beautiful world around her. Her work shows a keen yet delicate eye that takes care of the details. She takes inspiration from plants, birds, animals and anything that makes this world a unique place.

She shares her journey of being an artist, and how the internet has helped her connect with more people across the globe, opening new connections yet making her work vulnerable at the same time.

I present an email interview done with Heidi…

Q1. What drove you to the art of drawing?

I don’t recall the exact moment the urge to start drawing began in my life, but like most, if not all small children, we begin drawing instinctively from our very early years and this was certainly the case for me. Scribbling my first decipherable drawing of a somewhat scrappy cat on a small piece of drawing paper as a toddler was my earliest work, and I’ve never stopped scribbling since. Although the urge to draw was always with me, certainly the intention to forge it into a life path, a career, or something that defines me like it does today was never a conscious one.

Stemming from that same instinctive, organic place, my work has continued to develop into a naturally matured version and expression of these origins, into what it is today.

Q2. How you decided to focus on botanical and natural history as your chosen subjects?

The decision to focus on botanical and natural history painting as my subject was also an organic evolution. Born from of my love of the natural world, my fascination for the complex relationships and intricacies of colour, texture and form in nature, and the sheer beauty in my subjects, there was never a question about what id paint or a thought to be a natural history artist specifically, its just what I naturally am. Many years into my career I learned about Natural History Art, and I understood immediately, that’s what I am.

Q3. On an average, how much time do you spend on one drawing? Does it differ if it is a commissioned piece or your own?

I spend days to weeks and often even months producing a single artwork. From start to end, it is a process that requires absolute focus and perseverance of mind and body to complete each painting, working from the early morning to late in the night every day.

The initial stages of a painting can vary between commissions and my own work quite a lot in the early stages of developing an idea for a painting. Obviously working with a client on ideas injects a considerably new ingredient into what is an otherwise solitary and very inward process, and that needs some adjusting from an artist. More and more I find that my own ideas and my clients tend to align quite beautifully, and that as my capabilities expand, so does the confidence my clients extend to me in the process.

Ultimately it is up to me as a professional to manage this effectively, to accommodate what’s needed, and to engage in the process in a way that aligns with my own expression. Once you reach the physical painting stage, the piece has very much become much my own and all else falls away, allowing me to return to my own creative space. This is essential.

Q4. What type of art supply you like to use and why?

I am a watercolourist, so my paints are artist quality pigments on watercolour paper. One aspect of watercolour painting I remain extremely drawn to is the simplicity of the practice. With a handful of good quality pigments, a sheet of good paper and a handful of brushes, magic can be created so simply. It’s a beautiful, practical and economical medium full with endless romantic micro journeys of magic that you find yourself get so lost in. I simply never tire of it.

Q5. How internet has opened the market for small-scale artists in terms of sales? Do you use social media and other channels extensively?

Although I’ve had a fairly sound reputation as an artist both nationally and internationally since before the days of the internet, digital media and computers, the modern world of social media has changed the entire landscape of my career dramatically since its early days. From my day to day work practices, through to the exposure and marketing of my work, to the way I interact with clients in the current day, it is a whole new world. The internet and social media is certainly many kinds of richness for both myself and for my followers.

The downsides are dealing with aspects such the plagiarism and inappropriate use of your work, opening your life and work to the expected trolling and negativity that can and does come with the territory, dealing with the realty of your ever merging worlds of your personal and professional lives as your profile increases, and the extraordinary amount of time that now goes into managing and maintaining your social media accounts.

I am all for people creating and sharing and its so wonderful that we can and do through social media. Its ease of use and accessibility to all is a wonderful thing, but it does tend to create a sometimes overly flooded market of aspiring artists. As always, unless you are able to stand out in the crowd you can sometimes get lost amongst so many others. With this in mind, I think in real terms social media can still be difficult to inspire sales in a meaningful manner, but there is so little to lose in trying, right?

On the upside it opens so many doors in so many ways to so many people. It brings great opportunity directly to your space, it offers huge amounts of feedback on your work and direction (positive and negative), it streamlines all that we do and allows us to share our work with an extraordinary amount of people that would have been otherwise unaware. I personally love being able to inspire so many others near and far by sharing my work and journey, so I use social media fairly extensively to reach out, share and grow as much as possible. What I find is when you grow personally and professionally, your social media will naturally grow with you and so will your sales… It all starts with the integrity, consistency and quality of your work.

Q6. What are the methods of refining one’s art apart from learning it from a teacher or in the class?

The best approach to self-learning is to be open to learning! An open, constructive mind without self-devaluing or ego is one keen to expand and able to embrace new perspectives, knowledge, approaches and possibilities. It is also one most likely to identify areas of potential improvement, and be able to problem solve towards a successful, progressive outcome. It is also important to create and pursue your own vision, and not mimic or replicate that of another. I am a very big fan of self-learning and believe that when its well harnessed, it brings wonderful results.

Q7. What else you like to do when you are not drawing?

Most things I do are relevant to my work in some way. If im not drawing or painting I am typically hunting for and photographing reference or exploring other related aspects of my work. My favourite thing outside of painting is to travel (and I can be quite intrepid), but this too, often relates to my work too. Painting like I do is not a past time it is a lifestyle so my work comes into just about everything I do. If this wasn’t the case, I couldn’t create work like I do or keep up with what it demands of me. Finding that middle ground or balance can be difficult, but it’s a much easier compromise when you love what you do.

Q8. Any advice for beginners?

The best advice I can give to beginners is to paint what you love, the way you love to express it. Focus more on developing your style through trial, error and exploration of your own ideas, by expressing your own personal nature and by finding ways to overcome the challenges that arise, more than trying to copy others. This is where you find your truest voice and you have the greatest opportunity for success. Most of all, enjoy yourself! You don’t have to be wonderful to enjoy the process and practice, and when we come from that place we in turn, produce our best work.

Getting inspired and starting on a small business idea

If you are looking for best small business idea, then you must do some ground work. While intending to find a business of your own business, you have made the right decision in your life. Small businesses do not carry the hassles that big ventures do carry. This is because small businesses carry lesser risks and need lesser investments. You have enough scope to experiment newer strategies with small businesses and in this regard you face little risks and almost a vast amount of freedom.

If you have attended some entrepreneurial event and have been inspired by some inspirational quotes of the successful entrepreneurs and visionaries in the field of business, you are not alone. A lot of young people feel that way.

When you have decided to become an entrepreneur, sit with yourself silently on a trouble free day with a paper and pen. Left to yourself, you must now do some brain storming to gather good ideas. No one is new to business. You would have come across a number of businesses in your life. The society is replete with ideas and you have to cull out the best and choose the one you deem right for yourself.

When you wish to do a small business, first you need to list out your interests and preferences. This is because, life is not just about earning and there is no use of any business that takes away the fun from your life. When you do something that you enjoy, lie and love, you can perform better than others and your venture can be successful with less efforts. When you turn your hobby into business, you can really make the maximum out of your life. Therefore, it is important that the first business idea stems from your own inner self.

Naturally, you will tend to appreciate those businesses that echo your heart’s passions. So list those ventures that have attracted you. Derive inspiration from them and give vent to your creative ideas to improve upon them and you have the seed to plant that could grow into huge proportions.

Connecting with my mother after a yoga class in Bali

Bali is a nice place for a retreat during holidays and weekends. You can get your family to this fantastic location and make a great day for all. Once you are engaged in classes, they can also try out and see how much it can be useful to them. If they do not wish to participate in the classes, then there are a lot of activities they can explore in Bali once you are spending your time in the class.  It has got everything for every person on the earth. I had heard much about it and could not resist.

Finally, I decided to give it a try and landed in Bali last year for a yoga course and possible some traveling fun. Coming from Australia, I was keen on exploring some coral reefs.

Nowadays, yoga classes offered in every nook and corner of the world since most people are drawn towards this incredibly effective kind of system that has helped a large number of people gain a sound body and a healthy mind. Yoga is in fact a comprehensive solution to most problems in humans. Through a committed learning of this art and making it a daily practice can make you a successful person on the earth.

It is during one of the classes that I was attending when chatting with another participant, the topic of mothers came up. She told me that it was Mother’s Day and she had called back home in the US to wish her mom. I felt a sharp pinch in my heart. I had missed that didn’t have any inkling about the day. I decided to call my mom in the evening.

I did call my mom to convey her the Mothers Day wishes and my love for everything she has done. I felt so much bliss in my heart. I felt like I had missed my family so much but never knew or cared enough to tap into that resource. I decided to visit her often and stay in touch more after I go back from Bali.

It was truly a yoga because yoga means union in Sanskrit. I was united with my mother again!

Nokia to relaunch its iconic 3310 mobile phone

Mobile market in India and world over is abuzz with mobile sets launched almost daily by various companies. More and more companies are joining the fray of mobile manufacturing as the demand and consumption of mobile phones is increasing exponentially.

The latest news is from Nokia—they are relaunching their once-god-of-a-set named Nokia 3310 in the market. Lots of users are already sharing the new in their networks through social media and even Whatsapp. I got a screen shot of the news from my friend who says he is gonna buy that phone, and once launched the phone will be a best-seller. Well, personally, I do believe him and feel that it would top the list and become the best phone under 10000 in India.

When choosing a phone, a common user looks for these specifications and features:

  1. Affordable price
  2. Size that fit in the hand
  3. Easy operations
  4. Post-sale support from the company

The expectations and demands of the consumer change as we move from normal mobile phones to smartphones. The operating system is a major concern. Camera, RAM and battery life take precedence over everything. Rightly so, because smartphones have multiple tasks to perform rather than simply making calls like the normal cell phones.

However, with the relaunch of Nokia 3310, I wonder whether every smartphone users would like to buy an additional phone just to enjoy the robustness and low price that this handset offers. Almost everybody in India has used this set at least once and the nostalgia around the phone is just phenomenal. It remains to be seen if Nokia could bring back the same magic, and if yes, it will do wonders to the image and business of the company itself, as the phone can help them gain a major market share at least in India.

Birthday parties of childhood days

I remember born and brought up in a country-side village—we used to celebrate my birthday on any given day. A day chosen by my parents because that day they could spare time and also prepare various kinds of food items etc. The major attraction was inviting a photographer who could take some pictures. This continued till we bought a Kodak camera and then we didn’t have to depend on the photographer—we could click multiple photos on the same day. I remember we didn’t have cakes in our village—if you could buy it from nearby towns then only you can cut it. Otherwise, just have sweets, pakodas, etc. In our house, we used to prepare halwa and cut it imaging we are cutting the cake. I just loved the whole event. It was a great time to celebrate with your extended family and friends.

A birthday celebration is a great day for any kid—I realized it when I grew up and became a father. I noticed a unique kind of joy in my daughter who got dressed in a new frock and wanted to share her joy with other children of the street. I am sure I must have felt the same when I was a kid but now I could notice it.

As you grow old, there is no childlike charm in you to celebrate your birthday. However, the expectations are there—you want your friends to post funny birthday wishes on social media networks and also to WhatsApp you some memes etc. You also want a surprise gift from your partner and perhaps a trip to some place.

I consider these days important because they let you take a break from your daily schedule and spend some time with your family and friends. How lavish is your birthday party is not important—how enjoying it is, should be your main concern.

How to say Oh My God in Hindi

‘Oh my God’ is an interesting expression. In modern digital world, OMG is also used many times to represent the same expression. If you live in a metropolitan city, you will notice people speaking various regional languages in India will still use the same expression in English itself. Just like we are used to say ‘I love you’ instead of the regional versions of this expression.

To know how to say oh my god in Hindi, we will have to look at the exact literal translation, and also the popular expression that conveys the same meaning but may have omitted the word ‘my’ from it.

Now the word प्रभु can also be replaced with भगवान (Bhagavāna) or परमात्मा (Paramātmā). The meaning and the feeling would remain the same.

The way we spend our time with friends

I remember I had the cake smeared on my face for the first time ever on my birthday–I was invited by a friend of mine to her house. She and her husband brought a chocolate cake. I was accompanied by another friend of mine. My wife and my daughter was also with me.

They asked me to cut the cake. I did. Instead of making me eat the cake, they started rubbing it on my face. My daughter was little terrified but my wife enjoyed it a lot–she knew I didn’t like such kind of things, and also never did it to somebody myself. But that day, almost everything changed. I felt like one of them–the feeling of being the odd-man-out flew away. I felt that I am a normal guy who belonged to certain group.

Friends make your life unique.

You can celebrate them every day. Or you can celebrate every day with them. There is no need to have a special day to celebrate your friendship. I have never sent friendship day wishes to anybody in my life, but I have wished them on many occasions, and I value my friends like I would value anything precious in my life.

Yet, I don’t deny that there is something special if you remember your friends on a particular day, and want to celebrate it in a unique style. I don’t mind going out and having a great time. I don’t mind going for a party where you can detox yourself after a stressful work week. I don’t mind going for a classical music concert if that’s what you and your friends like. I don’t mind simply hanging out with friends and talking deeply about problems of the world or of your life. Basically, I have noticed that time spent with friends flies like airplanes while time without friends trudges like bullock-carts.

CD Review of Lakshmi Lullabies by Noelani Love

If you have visited any of the Hawaiian islands, you will find a unique connection with the land and the sea and the people–it is a beautiful blend of modern world and ancient practices and beliefs. It’s like people who feel a different kind of pull inside them are somehow made to visit this place and often made to stay there. I had the chance to visit one of the most beautiful islands in the world–Kaua’i. It was magical. This is where I met Noelani and got to know about her music.

Lakshmi Lullabies by Noelani Love

Album Name: Lakshmi Lullabies

Artist Name:  Noelani Love

Total Time: 58: 30

Noelani’s album blends multiple cultures, genres and also languages. She has sung in English, Hawaiian, Sanskrit and Tibetan languages, which make this album a wonderful collection for listeners who love chantings, mantras, music for yoga, meditation and relaxation etc.

It’s not easy to soak in the essence of so many languages, feelings and emotions; assimilate them to be able to render them through your own creativity; but she has done a commendable job.

The album name is indicative of the nature of the songs–all the tracks are based on mantras and chants from various cultures and practices. Noelani has weaved a beautiful lei with her voice and Ukelele, and listeners can just sit and relax while doing an armchair traveling to Hawaiian islands.

The beauty of these mantras is that you can chant them without music, set them to different tunes and rhythms and even have a lyrical representation of them with melodies–the power, the impact, the magic remains the same. Noelani has truly given these mantras a new form, and it is just amazing.

You can just close your eyes and let your body and mind bathe in the serenity of these chants.

I wish her a wonderful journey as she explores new and new horizons with these chants and her music, and continues to share her gifts with the world.

CD Review of Sisu by Jennifer DeFrayne

While listening to this album, I came to know about the incredible story of Jennifer, which is so inspiring and soul-stirring. Facing difficulties in life is everybody’s lot; to maintain the creative instinct is a gift given to only a few. Jennifer has risen above the hardships that her life brought to her, and she smelted all of them–what you receive in the form of her music is pure gold carrying the shine and beauty of her soul. She has truly embodied the spirit of Sisu!

Intense and celebrating; recondite and meditative!

This is how I’d like to describe this album in one line. It’s magical and makes you emotional in many ways.

In the recent years, I have been exposed to piano music. I won’t say I understand the instrument now. However, music does not require any kind of special training if you have the feel for it–as they say, music is the native language of every human being. It does not need to be taught. We pick up music on our own. I can understand Jennifer’s music at a deeper level just because it’s so beautiful, and sounds native to my soul.

Piano, being a grand instrument, has the capacity to render different emotions with equal brilliance. The virtuosity of a pianist lies in producing those sounds with ease. Jennifer has done that beautifully. She has offered the listeners an amazing collection of spirited songs. To know that she is self-taught corroborates what I mentioned earlier that music is native to every human being. Yet, there is no taking away the hard work she has put in, and the sheer determination that kept her going through difficulties to keep her heart singing and ringing with music.

I must mention that the album might have carried a totally different message if the accompanying artists were not there. They have added many layers to the music, and rendered a totally unique dimension to it. For the sake of sounding modern and bit zippy in my review, I would say the combination is a ‘killer’!

Almost every song of this album has some celebratory moments, which epitomizes the spirit of Sisu. Perseverance brings success. As the music goads you, inspires you to hold your ground, it also makes you realize that you will emerge a winner and not a loser. I just love this aspect of this album.

I invite you to lose yourself–yes, just ‘let go’. Float with the music, and you will feel that the heaviness that bogs down your heart was never there. Just lose the doubting mind, and let the spirit of this powerful music fill your heart with native lullabies, and give you strength.

How to say little sister in Hindi

Childhood memories are cherished forever by almost everyone. A grown man or a woman who is doing decent in his/her life will relish these memories that are often based on family, relatives, school and the fun stuff that children do.

Brothers and sister and even cousins add lot of fun to these memories. Having a little sister is a great privilege—not given to everybody. I, personally, have always wanted to have a little sister. This inherent wish of mine surfaced in my behaviour while I moved into a college and had girls as my friends. I had a couple of them as my close friends and I considered them as my little sisters, though one of them was older than me.

The joy of teasing her, not sending her birthday or new year wishes, and even calling her names gave me so much joy.

So, when I started this blog and wrote about expressions and how to say them in Hindi language, it came to my mind—how to say little sister in Hindi.

There are two ways in which you can say it—one is literal translation of the words ‘little sister’, while other is a name itself given to this expression. It directly means younger sister.

I am giving you both of these expressions in Hindi and you can use any of them.

How to Say Happy Father’s Day in Hindi

A lot of people argue that there is no need to celebrate a day to thanks your parents. Father’s Day or Mother’s Day need not be celebrated on any particular days of the years because if you are grateful to your parents, you can wish them or show them your love any time or all the time. Why celebrate a special day and do something for them and then not do it for the rest of the year.

While this is a valid argument, I personally feel that celebrating at least one day if not every day is still meritorious. If you are lucky enough to live with your parents after you are married and have a job etc. (settled in life, as they say), you can celebrate this day as a family.

However, sending fathers day wishes on a particular day become very special and endearing if you are living away from parents—for example, a lot of expats feel the heart-pinch on this day because they feel they should be with their parents. This is where they take out a day from their busy schedule and would like to extend their sincerest thanks to their fathers for making them successful in life.

So, if you are trying to convey your feelings but want to know how to say happy father’s day in Hindi, here’s something for you!

This expression is bit difficult because we don’t use पितृ in common language but use पिता. However, if we go for literal translation of this day, पिता दिवस या पिता दिन, grammatically, it would not parse. So, we will have to stick with पितृ दिवस. However, you can alternatively say बधाई हो and add the personal touch of saying that “Today, it’s your day, day!” In Hindi, you can it like this: “पिता जी, आज आपका दिन है।“

How Do You Say Happy Valentine Day in Hindi

There are many days, occasions, and celebrations that are observed throughout the world, but many of them originated in one particular region or country. Often, it becomes difficult to translate the names of meanings of these celebrations in local languages.

India, being one of the most multi-cultured and diverse countries, celebrates many such events. Valentine’s Day is one of them. However, there are many people and groups that feel that the modern theme of this day does not align with the social values of India, and therefore this day should not be observed or celebrated. Many incidents have been reported in various states of India where even police questioned unmarried couples who were celebrating this day.

However, there are many parts of India where it is celebrated with gifts and parties. Though the original theme of this day is lost, the celebration goes on in the name of courting, and unmarried couples coming together—for some, it may be a day of proposing for marriage etc. For married couples, this day marks the celebration of rekindling their love and taking time out of their busy schedule to celebrate each other’s company. Valentines day wishes are also expressed by exchanging gifts.

So, if you are trying to learn how to say happy Valentines Day in Hindi, you will need to use the word Valentine as such in Hindi. The rest of congratulation can be translated in Hindi language.

As I had mentioned earlier, you will not make a literal sense of this expression but only contextual. However, I would be remiss if I don’t mention that if you are celebrating Valentine’ Day, you will hardly find anybody saying it in Hindi or the regional languages. The penetration of English is deep enough and people like to use the original English expression as such.

How to Say Really in Hindi

There are many expressions that can be used to translate ‘really’ in Hindi because the meaning could differ depending upon the context of the sentence. In general, ‘really’ cane be translated to all of these words:

  • वस्तुतः
  • सचमुच
  • वास्तव में
  • यथार्थ में

Apart from these words where it is used as an adverb, ‘really’ can also be used to express amazement. Suppose, you are at a mobile store, and asked the salesperson to show you some sets. Among the sets that he/she showed, he also showed you a particular set which he labelled as ‘best phone under 25000’, and you are surprised because the phone is really good and have modern features of a smartphone. You will say ‘really!’

Or you are surprised because the phone looks costly. The scenario could be any of these.

At that point, you will have a questioning or exclamatory tone in your voice while saying सचमुच.

It basically depends upon how and where you are using this word in a sentence while writing something in Hindi or conversing with somebody. The art of using such words comes with practice and can’t be taught in a single article because live situations would be better in making the learner realize where to use which words and how to pronounce them giving different meanings.

Another common word that is used apart from the abovementioned words for ‘really’ is अच्छा. This word can be used both ways—questioning, showing surprise and acknowledging too, but when used in questioning and showing surprise, it give the same meaning as the abovementioned words for ‘really’.

How to Say What in Hindi

Learning any language requires understanding the context in which the words are used because sometimes same words express different meanings under different conditions. The mantra lies in understanding the usage through live situations. I always advocate that ideal language learning comes from living in that particular culture and understanding the nuances of usage of that language through first-hand experience.

Hindi, like any other language, has many words that can be used to mean differently. Learning how to say what in Hindi language is quite easy because there are hardly any complications in the usage of this word. It can be used to question something or to express surprise. In both the cases, the Hindi expression for this word would remain the same. However, you will have to use this word using different expression of your face so that you could convey the real meaning under that condition.

The below example will enunciate both types of usage of this word:

Imagine you are at a mobile store and want to check some newly arrived phones.

You will ask the salesman: ‘What is the price of this phone?’

Suppose the salesman answers: “This is the best phone under 20000.”

Now, if you are surprised at the answer, you will exclaim: “What!”

How to say What in Hindi

In both these cases, the Hindi expression of क्या would be used but your facial expression will change, which will establish the context of the usage. You may be surprised because the phone is not worth of 20000 or you may be surprised that it is cheaper compared to other sets which have also same features.

If you have feedback or suggestion regarding this, you can surely write through the comment section. At the same time, if you have any question regarding the usage or pronunciation of this word, I will be happy to help you.

My choice when it comes to buying a smartphone

I have two friends who are younger to me in age but have worked with me on number of freelancing projects—one of them took a government job and became a computer teacher while the other one is a PHP programmer. We are a sort of team though we don’t work together as a team.

We keep sharing stuff about mobile phones, and various accessories. One of the most important aspect that we have figured out in any phone for us is the size of that phone. We have used Nokia 3300 and 3310 too and we have used Mi Note 4 also. The size of the mobile phones has increased in the recent past because users want better touch experience with various functionalities that make a mobile phone almost a computer. However, we have our own concerns when it comes to the size of the mobile phone.

The second aspect of any mobile phone for us is the cost—if somebody is offering us a great phone with an exorbitant price, we will look the other side. We feel that in today’s market, a great Android-based phone can be purchased between INR 12-15K. Though some of the great phones start from 9k too but if you are looking for a bit of extra RAM and storage, you may need to spend more than 12k for a decent phone.

So, if I have to pick the best phone under 15000, I will pick any phone from Mi under that range with a screen size of 5”. Earlier, I used Moto G with fair amount of ease and utility, I feel that Mi phones excel Moto phones quite easily just because they have a better battery life and cost effectiveness.

What are the aspects that you feel most important when it comes to picking a mobile phone for your personal use? Share your ideas!

Why I won’t buy an iPhone 6 now

Apple or people who follow Apple like crazy fans are already talking about the features that will be there in Apple 8. Thousands of users are buying Apple 7 on a daily basis–I have heard people whispering about buying Apple 7 with 128 GB storage space and ready to spend any kind of money to grab the phone. There are already leaked news about various features and Apple user groups are already locking horns as to whether the proposed featured are worthy of the money that users will be spending or not.

However, what caught my eye was an ad posted on a very popular e-commerce website: the offered product was Apple 6 at a price of under 30000 INR. I was surprised because why someone in their right mind would buy a soon-to-be-outdated-model of Apple, and not go for a latest Android-based mobile phone, which will have better features?

I am still at a loss of ideas about why somebody do it!

Consider for example these phones:

  1. OnePlus 3T with 64 GB space
  2. OnePlus 3 with 64 GB space
  3. Samsung Galaxy A8 with 32 GB space

I know and understand that users are still not over the issue of Samsung battery that left the company out of favours of many, but still there are many better options in the mobile market for phones under 30000 than buying an old iPhone model which will most probably be declared outdated in maximum 2 years.

I agree that it is difficult to pick the best phone under 30000 when it comes to new mobile sets because many of them are not tested enough for performance and utility. But personally, I will never buy an iPhone 6 in 2017 if I have the choice to spend 30000 INR on a mobile phone.
